Camp Happiness, Inc.

Description:

Camp Happiness, Inc. is a 501-c3 Charity, traditional one-week day camp experience for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities from Niagara County, aged 12 to 90. It is offered at Camp Kenan on Lake Ontario through the volunteer efforts of the Lockport Elks Lodge #41. In partnership with additional Elks Lodges who support the endeavor by providing volunteers, philanthropy and recruiting new campers. Participants from across Niagara County, regardless from whom they receive support and services, are invited to attend each year.

The recreational activities available as part of this week-long experience offer people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities numerous health and social benefits, as well as a needed respite for their caregivers. For most attendees, this will be their first experience at camp.
