The Kenan Center is the heart of the community, attracting passionate people who utilize our campus to learn, engage others, expand their creativity, and to better understand the world around them.
- The Kenan Arena, built in 1969, is a modern, multi-use facility that houses the Kenan sports and recreation department, and also provides exhibition space for special events such as the Quilters’ Guild Bi-Annual Quilt Show and the Kenan Center’s 100 American Craftsmen show, which has been held annually since 1971, and attracts more than 5,000 visitors to the Kenan Center campus.

More than 500 volunteers help to make the Kenan Center a premier arts, cultural and recreational center serving the eastern Niagara region. There are numerous opportunities to get involved, and also to fit your skills and interests, from caring for the Center’s formal gardens and assisting with gallery exhibits and art installation, to coaching a youth soccer team.

Kenan ACRES Summer Camps: Important Information

This summer, they are hosting a series of week-long CO-ED summer camps that focus on sports and the arts! For children entering Grades 1 through Grade 8, each week two camps will be running simultaneously. With the variety of camps being offered all summer long, you’re encouraged to mix & match to explore as many different interests as possible, and “Find YourSELf!”

SEL stand for “Social Emotional Learning.” Their summer camps are “SEL Infused,” meaning your child will develop their skills in sports/arts as well as develop as individuals.

All camps cost: $295.00
Financial Assistance is available up to 85% of cost.

All camps age breakdown:
Grades 1 – 4
Grades 5 – 8

All camps go from 9 AM – 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
Children will be required to bring a lunch everyday.

Late fees:
1-15 minutes late: $15.
16-30 minutes late: $30.

Lockport Spokes: Kenan Center provides after-school programming for teens 13-17 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2:45-4:45. The provide soccer, football, lacrosse and more in the Kenan Center Arena.
