C.A.R.E: Call And Reassure Elders

Description:

Call And Reassure Elders (C.A.R.E.), is a free telephone reassurance program for Niagara County residents. A trained volunteer will give wellness checks by phone call on a regularly scheduled basis to seniors who are in need of someone to touch base with them to ensure their well-being and/or to have a friendly conversation. C.A.R.E. is not a referral service or medical alert service.

Individuals may self-refer or be referred by a caregiver, family member, or service provider. C.A.R.E. is intended to serve Niagara County, NY seniors or disabled adults who are home-bound, isolated, living alone, or in need of daily contact to ensure personal safety. This may be temporary while recuperating from an illness or it may be a permanent situation. Married couples who are home-bound are eligible for C.A.R.E.
